Well, I did mention that he's had virtually no writing instruction previous to this year. Which I know is mind-boggling (and totally frustrating on my part), especially considering that there's a "writing" portion on the TAKS test... but that's another rant entirely.

Still, for a first effort, it's not bad, and I'm pretty confident he'll do better in the future!
