Yes, that suits my mood exactly. It is the day before Thanksgiving, and I am NOT in the kitchen, making pies. Though, if the Husbandly One decides I have behaved enough, I might be allowed to make the cornbread for the dressing for tomorrow's turkey.
Bedrest sucks.
Really.
However, the Husbandly One did get off work early and was home by noon *does a little happy dance in her chair* so that was GOOD! But that means I have to actually stay in bed.
Oh... that's right. I haven't told you. Yes, I went to the doctor. And while I don't quite have pneumona (again!), I'm just skirtin' the edge, so... I'm on the big guns in medication now, and not only are those pills BIG and TERRIFYING and VERY HARD TO SWALLOW!! (come on! my throat is swollen and my vocal chords are shredded! swallowing BROTH is a challenge!) but they wipe me out, too.
The Impertinent Daughter has brought in every Miyazaki DVD we own and popped it in the DVD drive in our computer so I can watch them from bed, and is trying to sweet talk her papa into buying the few we don't have "so poor Mama doesn't get too bored."
You know what, guys? I've probably said this before, but I am really, REALLY ready to get off this roller coaster. This has been like, the longest ride EVER!! STOP ALREADY!!
Maybe my muse will take pity on me and pay me a visit.
Please?
