Random thoughts at the beginning

Well, this is certainly a new experience for Auntie. Guess I'll look at this as an exercise, and hope I don't get razzed too often. As for the title, I have a lot of random thoughts. I'm one of those people who keep a notebook in a pocket or purse and write frequently, because if I don't, I'll be sure to forget it. Guess that's why I'm a writer.
One of my favorite random thoughts that I use to drive boredom away when standing in the inevitable unmoving line at the grocery, the post office, etc., is to wonder just where the hell did Princess Leia get that dress she wore in the Ewok village in "Return of the Jedi." I mean, really, when she was packing for that mission to Endor, did she open her closet, see that dress and think, "You know, that would be just the perfect thing to wear if I happen to find myself in a tree village of primitive teddy-bears wearing suede!" I used to contemplate that while nursing my daughter at two a.m., trying to keep myself from falling asleep. I still laugh when I think about it.
Guess I need to find myself an icon. Thing is, what to choose, what to choose? Should it be something dignified, as befitting a Southern lady of Auntie's standing? Or something showing how full of mischief she is? I'll think of something.
Well, dearies, Auntie wants to go to bed. And remember, it will all come up in the toaster!
