Ack!!

OMG, you guys!!!  I totally tranced out driving home in the car after dropping the kids off, and snapped back to myself with NO IDEA HOW I GOT THERE!!!!

*total panic mode*

I had a disk I had burned for the Impossible Son in the cd player, and I was thinking about his appointment this afternoon with a pediatric orthopedic specialist about his broken thumb, and the next thing I knew, I was somewhere I should not have been!  I mean, I was driving down the street BEHIND my house, with no memory at all of how I got there!!!

Okay, so "Nagareboshi-Shooting Star" by Kozoku from Naruto Shippuden goes on the list of Music Auntie Can't Listen To While Driving.

I don't THINK I ran over any old people or small furry animals.  But holy Mackinoly, y'all!!!!  What on earth??  I think I'll go sit down and shake for the next twenty minutes, add in some fretting, and maybe a complete freak-out.  Then I'll be fine.  But GEEZ!!!!

The Impossible Son and His Cast of One

Well, the Impossible Son has a cast.  It seems the break, which was minor, became slightly less minor, because there was nothing immoblizing it or protecting it.  And therefore, it was decided to wear a cast to keep his thumb from getting worse.  

He's very proud of it.  See?





It's his favorite color.  Oh, and you can see where he lost his tooth on the bottom.   And that other doctor really, seriously thought I could "restrict his activities" for three weeks.  LOOK at my son, and tell ME I could sit on him and make him NOT use his thumb!!  PUH-LEEZ!!!!

The pediatric orthopedic guy looked at it, looked at Joze and said, "Let's slap a cast on this guy, because he's going to start feeling better and start using that hand and that break is going to drift and I'll end up doing surgery on him."  Yes, this is a guy who knows kids!

So, he gets to wear the cast for the next three weeks, and I'm already looking for reference pics because he wants Charmandar, and Naruto, and Harry Potter and a snitch.... *rolls eyes*  Hey, Myrafur, got any ideas for me, hon?  Guess I better break out the acrylics and see what I can do!

Somebody get me a drink!!
