Blown away...

The Impertinent Daughter has a Nintendo DS, and plays her Pokemon games on it.  Today, she came in while I was folding clothes, extremely excited.  "Mama, Mama!!  Watch this!  My character is caught in a leaf trap.  Guess how I get out?"

Now, I have to admit, when I'm in the middle of chores, my interest in these games is sort of... well, not.  Plus, she holds the thing in my blurry zone, so I can't see it anyway.  But today, she held it at just the right distance, so I said, "Um, I dunno.  Get a leaf blower?"

"You're close," she said with a mischievous grin.  "Watch this."  And she proceeded to blow gently at the little screen.

The leaves... scattered.

I blinked.  "No way!"

"I know!" she squealed.  "It just said to blow the leaves away, and I kept looking for a clue or a tool, and finally, I just said, oh, why not, and I blew on the screen as a joke, and IT WORKED!!"

She did it one more time so I could see it.

These games are getting WAY too interactive!!
