Field Trip... YAAAAAY!!!!

auntbijouSo today, the Impossible Son's second grade class went to visit Aquarena Springs in San Marcos, Texas.
(Like y'all would ever forget I live in Texas, right?)
Anyhow... we had a lot of fun!! First, we had activities that taught the kids about the water cycle...
... and how to tell if the water was clean just by the critters living in it! Then we went out on their Wetlands Project...
Those little white specks on the tree are Snowy Egrets, by the way. And here is a Tilapia, which is an invasive species some idiot dumped into Spring Lake.
Here's an even closer shot...
Then we got onto one of these things...
... which is a glass bottomed boat. And we did this...
... so we could see this!!
All in all, a most successful trip, and we will definitely be going back, if only for the glass bottom boat tour!!
And Chan and Markle-Sparkle? It runs all year round, so when y'all come back, we'll take you there!!
