Note to self: "Can't Take It In" by Imogen Heap goes on The List of Songs Auntie Can't Listen To While Driving.
...*sigh*...
There are certain songs that, when I listen to them, literally send me off into my own little world. My family says they "trance" me. It isn't the rhythm, necessarily. I'm not sure what it is. But I will literally go into a daze, and my imagination will take off, and I'm watching my own little personal movie. I just... never remember what it is. This can be a Very Bad Thing when driving. And I never know what song will do it to me. This makes listening to the radio an adventure sometimes. I have on many occasions reached over and slapped the button to change the station as soon as I hear the beginning of certain songs, and the Husbandly One, or my daughter will look up, startled, and say, "But, I thought you LIKED that song!"
"I do," I say. "Just... not while I'm driving."
"Oh," they'll say wisely, nodding their heads. "One of THOSE songs."
Yeah. One of THOSE songs.
Doesn't help that I have a migraine today, either. That just makes me even more susceptible.
*crawls back into bed, turns out the light, and pulls the covers over her head*
