auntbijouThe rain let up and we made it into San Marcos after all. And the Impertinent Daughter WON THE COSTUME CONTEST!!! So, she won a free copy of the Deathly Hallows! YAAAAY!!!
She was so proud! She worked hard on her costume (with Mama and Papa's help), and even made herself a Quibbler to read upside down. She also made sure everyone saw her around the store, skipping up and down the aisles, popping out with enigmatic Luna-type non-sequiters that served her well! It was GREAT!! She even got to ride the book pallet off the dock and into the store when it was time to bring the books up to the cash registers for the people who had bought advanced copies!
Butter Beer cork necklace, radish earrings... who else could she be? She even carried a stuffed hare around to throw in the air as she pointed her wand up and said firmly, "Expecto Patronum!!"
The Impossible Son was Harry, and though he didn't win this time, he was very proud of his sister. "It was her turn to win!" he said happily. "And we still get TWO books!"
He's a pretty happy little guy, isn't he? So... as soon as Miss Priss falls asleep, I'm grabbing that book and READING!! At least until the book from Amazon arrives!
