A howl of frustration

Okay, that is just IT!!!  I've HAD it!  What is it with me and doing laundry?? I swear, I only did ONE LOAD!! ONE!!!  And I have a fever AGAIN!!!  AAAAUUUGGGHHHH!!!!  (Bangs head into desk four or five times, and moans).  This is ... is... IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Okay, so I'll call the doc in the morning, and...and... I don't know... demand satisfaction??  How much more blood can I have drawn out of my arm??  GEEEZ!!

In case you couldn't tell, I am supremely frustrated, and aggravated, and it's really awful when your five year old comes and asks for a swing in your arms, and you have to turn him down, because you're supposed to be resting.  They're little for such a short time...

I'll get over this... eventually.   (Picture Auntie jumping up and down, ripping out her hair, and making assorted noises of frustration as she waves her arms wildly over her head)  As you can imagine, the Husbandly One is ready to wail with me.  Poor guy.  He wants his feisty gal back, not this pale, tired version.  Plus, I think he could use a bit of help around the house.  The kids' idea of help is actually counterproductive at times.

On a more cheerful note, the Impertinent Daughter lost a molar, and of course, put her tooth in the Tooth Pillow the Practical Sister made for her (she makes the most beautiful quilts).  The tooth fairy came and left a substantial amount of fairy dust on her bed, her desk, the pillow, the ID's hair, and also along the path outside her bedroom window, and also in the window screen.  So we know how she got in.  She took the tooth and left a silver sunflower charm.  The tooth fairy doesn't leave money at our house, she leaves charms for the Impertinent Daughter.  So far, she has a fairy, a lady bug, a butterfly, a star, a moon, a soccer ball, and a dragonfly.  In fact, the one time the tooth fairy left money, the Impertinent Daughter was so insulted, she cried!  When her friends asked why the tooth fairy left charms instead of money, ID smiled and said, "Well, you know, we're a little different.  So, the tooth fairy is a little different for us.  I don't mind one bit.  I LIKE getting charms!  One day, I'll have a bracelet for all my charms, and that will be so cool!"

Sometimes, it pays to make your kids' lives just a little more magical.
