Okay, what the hell is up with Livejournal now??
I tried logging in a few minutes ago, and an alert came up on my computer telling me that the certification on LJ's site had changed or that another site was pretending to be LJ. So, I checked the details and find it's not LJ but... godaddy.com???
Clearing my caches and cookies, etc, hasn't changed a damn thing. Anybody else having this problem?
This is like sooooo harshing my mellow, dude!

Denial of Service Attacks Suck Big Wind...
Monday, April 4th, 2011 04:45 pmFor those of you who are wondering WTF is going on with LJ lately, they've apparently been hit by several huge DDOS (dedicated denial of service) attacks since last week. That's why you can't get on your page, can't log in, or everything is incredibly slow.
You can see info on it here on LJ News, and I found THIS on Netcraft. If you've tried to log in, or gotten "page not found," "guru meditation" and other such lovely messages, you might want to run an anti-viral or malware checking program on your system, as you might be one of the "zombies" used in the attack. Which sucks incredibly. Hell, just run it anyway, just because.
I hope they get this resolved soon, or at least find out why the hell whoever is doing this is... doing it.
*grumbles and goes back to looking for son's goalie gloves*
ETA: That's... Distributed Denial of Service. Thanks
panthyr. Damn these brain-farts...
*head-desk*
And they just keep coming...

I had to fill out a support ticket today.
As anyone who reads this journal regularly is aware, I do searches on my username and my real name from time to time on Google, Yahoo, and whatever other search engine pops up in my head. Mostly it's just curiosity, but it's also because the self-preservationist in me demands I pay attention to such things.
Well, not long after the big move to Montana, I was doing a Google on my username, and my real name popped up. That got my attention, but not long after, when I had logged in to LJ, LJ had already sent me a message letting me know about the problem and how to fix it, so... I did.
So, today, I did a Google on my real name, and no Auntie popping up to alarm me. However, when I went to Yahoo... bing, there I was, my real name with Auntie's LJ address under it.
Ain't supposed to happen, folks.
Hopefully, they'll get back to me soon. I mean, there's a reason I post this stuff under another name, you know? Hello, privacy?
Auntie is feeling rather naked today, my dears! *picks up large feather fans and starts an elaborate fan dance to distract you*
I even found one named "Bijou!"

Is anybody else having as much trouble posting fic to LJ as I am? I mean, this is ridiculous! I preview before I post, and check to make sure there are no problems, then I post, and... it looks nothing like what I posted. Stuff gets moved around, and it's driving me nuts!!
And why the hell is it changing my font??
And what the hell is up with my not getting comments?? Okay, LJ, I was up until 4 FRIGGIN' AM WITH A SICK CHILD, I AM SO NOT IN THE MOOD FOR THIS!!!
*stomps back to bed and sulks*
